Need Support? Part 1
Camp wouldn't be the same without this particular group of staff members. They can be found at the horse barn, day camp pavilion, health lodge and the waterfront. Introducing the first half of Support Staff 2016!
Meet Nora, Katie, Margaret and Gretchen!
Hey guys, my name is Nora and I LOVE HORSES! If you know me, you already knew that. Because 90% of the time you can find me at the barn, whether it's at camp or when I'm at school in Ohio. Speaking of which, that's where I am right now! I'm finishing up my third year at Otterbein University where I'm studying psychology and WGSS, as well as riding on the equestrian team. This summer will be my 12th at camp and my second time co-running the barn. I am so excited to be back at camp for another 6 weeks of fun, singing, swimming and SO MUCH MORE!
Hello all! My name is Katie, and I am the Katie who will be the day camp director this summer. I come from Indiana where I studied Telecommunications at Ball State University. I can often be found spending time outdoors (especially on the water), doing yoga, crafting, and hammock hanging. Though I have been working at Pendalouan since last October this will be my first summer here. I am super excited to see Pendy in the summer season and instill in my day campers a love of the camp life!
Hi everyone! My name is Margaret and I will be returning as Health Officer for my seventh summer at Pendalouan! This spring I will be graduating from the College of Wooster with a degree in Spanish, but I am looking forward to spending another summer swimming in Big Blue Lake! I love foil dinners and anything that requires face paint! I hope to see you all soon this coming summer!
A big Pendalouan hello from yourWaterfront Director! My name is Gretchen, and this will be my third summer as Waterfront Director, and my 13th summer at camp. I graduated from Northern Michigan University this year with a degree in Elementary Education and have been working in the West Michigan area. When I am not on the shores of Big Blue Lake or in a classroom, you can find me reading, writing lesson plans, playing with my dogs, or taking long walks through the woods. I cannot wait to dip my toes in Big Blue Lake (even if it’s at 7am for the Polar Bear swim), sing all my favorite songs, and meet all of you! See you soon!
Pack your bags, camp is coming!
Stay tuned for the other half of support staff and the highlights of summer 2016
