Let's Meet S'more Staff!

Start your week off with a few staff bios!  Meet Ellie, Claire, Alexa and Abby!

Hey Pendy Friends! My name is Ellie and I'm back for my 3rd summer as a counselor, and my 9th overall, on the lovely Big Blue! For most of the year I go to school at the University of Kentucky where I'm studying to be a speech therapist. Down here in the south you can usually find me doing something outdoorsy, reading, or watching baseball (Go Cubs!) The best months of the year though are spent at camp! I can't wait for summer to begin so I can be back at Pendy helping the red team to victory in CTF, singing the best (and most ridiculous) songs in the world, and spending lots of quality time around roaring fires eating yummy food. Summer 2016 can't come soon enough, see you all then!

Hello there! My name is Claire and I am super stoked to be at Pendalouan this summer. I started as a camper in Bugs and Bunks and then Resident Camp. Last summer I became a CIT and, now I’m a counselor! This will be my 11th summer at Pendalouan. I absolutely love swimming in Big Blue Lake and getting to know other campers. I currently live in Holland, Michigan, but I will be heading off to Kalamazoo College in the fall. I spend my time singing, performing, and learning about psychology, while lifeguarding at the local pool. My dream job involves either being a music teacher or working for Disney. I am looking forward to Summer 2016 and I can’t wait to meet everybody. Until then, hail Pendalouan!

Hey! My name is Alexa and this is my second year on staff at Pendalouan! Next year I plan on transferring to Michigan State University with the intent to join the Peace Corps after graduating in a couple years. I love hiking, hammocking, and being outside whenever possible! Indoors, I love reading, video games, cards, and sci fi movies. I also really enjoy painting, traveling, and yoga as well! I can't wait to head back to Big Blue this summer and spend time with campers new and old!

Hi, I'm Abby, and I live in Norton Shores, Muskegon. Next year I'll be an Art and Design major at the University of Michigan and be in the Wolverine Marching Band!  Things I love:  Art, musical theater, Disney, playing the flute, tennis, and calculus!  The parts of camp I love most are:  Singing before bed, being with friends all week, and most importantly, FOURSQUARE!   This is my first time as a counselor, but I've attended camp as a camper for seven years! Big blue keeps calling me back!

Summer will be here before you know it, so sign up and get ready for the magic of summer 2016!

Hail Pendalouan
