Let's Meet Four More!

Hey Pendy people!
Meet Christie, Ray, Alyssa and Chandler!

Hi everyone! My name is Christie and this will be my third summer as a counselor here at Pendalouan! I am from Northern Virginia and I study Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. In my free time I like to do anything outdoors like hiking, boating, and climbing! I absolutely love Big Blue Lake and am so excited to sing songs, make tin foil dinners, make new friends and have an amazing summer! See you all soon, Hail Pendalouan!

Hey everyone! My name is Ray. I am from Mason Michigan, a smallish town just south of Lansing.  I am currently a junior at Ferris State University in Big Rapids.  My experience at college has only reinforced my love of the outdoors. Some of my favorite pastimes are camping, skiing, kayaking or just hammocking with friends. When the weather is too nasty to be outside I’m probably checking out the campus greenhouse, listening to music, drawing, or raiding the refrigerator for snacks. This will be my first year as a camp counselor and my first summer at Pendalouan. I can’t wait to enjoy the sunshine and make awesome memories at camp this year!

Hi Pendy Friends!  I am Alyssa, a senior at Whitehall High School.  I am 18 years old and have never been to summer camp in my life, sadly, but I am so very excited to be able to spend my first summer at camp with all of you! I love the outdoors, swimming and volleyball are two of my favorite activities!  I spend most of my time on a volleyball court, but on my down days you can find me long boarding, hammocking, and enjoying a peaceful day on the banks of Lake Michigan! I am an expert at braiding hair and doing makeup and love just spending time talking to people as much as I can! Thank you so much for letting me enjoy my first summer at Pendy with you all!

Hey everyone! My name is Chandler, and I'm so excited for this summer. I was born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan; and I go to Reeths-Puffer High School as a Sophomore. I was first introduced to Pendalouan by field trips in Elementary school, and I loved it so much! I eventually started coming a year after my sister because she said it was a lot of fun over the summer as well. After my first week, I loved camp and decided to go for a second session. Now this year will mark my fourth year at Pendalouan, and my first year as a counselor. It's such a great place to go outside and do such amazing activities. I especially like to play different sports like soccer, basketball, swimming, and definitely gaga. There's such a wide variety of things to do at Pendalouan, and each activity is just as great as the next. I also love singing and dancing at camp because Pendalouan gives people the ability to express their crazy side of life! What some people don't know is that I actually like to write my own songs as well! It's just another way for me to express creativity. Hope to see lots of people this summer!!!
