It's Time For Staff Bios!

Each week we will be introducing a rare group of individuals.  These people have a tremendous amount of positive energy, coming together each summer to give campers an experience they will never forget.  These people are fun, passionate, positive role models; they are the Pendalouan camp counselors of summer 2016:

Hey everyone! My name is Bella and I am so excited to come back to camp this year! This will be my 6th year at camp, but my 1st one as a counselor. I currently live in Chicago, IL, and in my free time I like to dance (mostly ballet), read, and take walks. I also like to do math! (I know, crazy right?) This summer I am super excited to make a ton of crafts, dress up in crazy costumes, and sing as loudly as possible. I can't wait to see you all on the shores of Big Blue!

My name is Aaron. I am from Grandville, MI, and I am a senior Secondary Education and English major at Calvin College.
Random Facts:
-This is my first year as a counselor at Camp Pendalouan
-I spent four months studying abroad in England. It is the coolest place ever, please feel free to address me in an English accent.
-I am a huge lover of books and would gladly live at the library if given the chance.
-As much as possible, I prefer to communicate in book and movie quotes and references.
-I was just in a production of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost at my college.
-I am really excited about hanging out with and getting to know the campers this summer and about participating in the drama activities. I’m also excited for archery, rock climbing, and swimming.

Hi my name is Becca and I'm a freshman at Michigan State University, major in packaging! I'm from the Metro-Detroit area in a town called Lake Orion.  I am a diehard Michigan State sports fan and hold a leadership position in the women's fraternity of Pi Beta Phi on campus. I am obsessed with my dog, Harry Potter, all things chocolate and of course summer camp. I'm can’t wait to be spending all day outside, being goofy and making new memories at Camp Pendalouan!  This will be my first year as a camp counselor but I started going to summer camp in kindergarten and am extremely excited for this new journey as a counselor. I can not wait to see you all at camp this year!

Hi my name is Jack and I’m so stoked to be back at camp this year! Pendalouan is one of my favorite places on the planet. I went to Pendalouan as a camper for 6 years and this will be my second year as a counselor, that's 8 years total! I’m from the Muskegon area and this May I will be graduating in the North Muskegon class of 2016. In the fall I plan on attending Northern Michigan University to study Education (Go Wildcats)! Some of my favorite things include Nature, Pendalouan, Hiking, and Chocolate Pudding. I love all of the new people I meet at camp as well as seeing all of the familiar faces. I can’t wait to sing loud and proud and get back into camp activities. See all of you for a great summer on Big Blue!

Stay tuned, we will be introducing more summer staff each week!
