More Staff Bios!

Last week flew by!  It's time to introduce our next round of summer staff members.  Introducing Katie, John, Sarah and Dan!

Hiya! My name is Katie and this is my second summer at Camp Pendalouan! I am originally from Northville MI, but I currently go to school at GVSU. I LOVE camp and one of my favorite parts about camp is POLAR BEAR SWIM. In fact, last summer I was at every single polar bear swim and this summer I will probably do it AGAIN. Burrrrr! When I am not at camp you can usually find me hanging out with my friends or running! This year I ran two half marathons, so you could say I have a lot of energy! I am looking forward to seeing all the new and old faces around the shores of Big Blue and at polar bear swim!

Hello! My name is John. I hail from Wilmette, Illinois, which is just north of Chicago, and I am currently attending Knox College. I am a complete theatre nerd! I love everything about it. Performing, designing, and producing. Along with theatre, I enjoy dancing and playing around on ropes courses. This will be my 10th year at Pendaloaun and my third as a counselor. I am extremely exctied to make new memories because every year is always better than the last, but I am mostly looking forward to spending more time on Big Blue Lake.

My name is Sarah, I was born and raised in Saint Joseph, Michigan. I have an older sister, a brother-in-law and two brothers. I am going to be a junior at Calvin College in the fall and am majoring in Early Childhood education with a missions minor.  I like to play soccer and run, I  ran the Grand Rapids Marathon with my dad last fall.  I once went on a bike trip with my brothers and biked from Saint Joseph, Michigan to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. One of my brothers is a twin, we have gone to the same schools our whole lives.  Camp is a great time to enjoy God's wonderful creation, have fun and make friends.  I am excited to play capture the flag over the summer; it’s my favorite game!  This will be my first year as counselor here at camp Pendalouan.

Hi guys! my name is Dan and I can't wait to come back to Pendalouan for my second year as a counselor! I am originally from Hudsonville,MI, but right now I'm a History Major at Northern Michigan University in Marquette! I like reading, watching movies, exploring all the great hiking trails around NMU and late night runs to McDonalds for chicken nuggets. Some of my favorite camp activities are Sleepy Hallow hikes, canoeing, and fort building. I can't wait to see everyone again on the shores of Big Blue!

Stay tuned for our next round of staff bios!
