How To Be

In the beginning of each summer camp session our campers learn about the Four Core Values (Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring) and our Camp Motto ‘I’m Third’ (God First, Others Second, I’m Third).
Throughout the week we see campers letting others go before themselves, sharing bug spray, making their bunks and so much more.
At closing campfire the campers are challenged to take what they learned and share it with the world.

First up in the ‘How To Be’ series is (Drum role please)... Caring!

Here are some reminders and tips on how to be caring.
It can be as easy as:
·      Hold the door open for someone
·      A simple smile
·      Be inclusive toward others
·      Asking ‘How are you today?’
·      Share your positivity with everyone you meet
·      Be a great friend

Small acts of kindness and showing somebody that you care can go a long way!

Let us know what you tried and how it worked!  Tell us some of your ideas.  We love hearing from you.

Stay tuned for Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and I’m Third!

Thank You!

We are happy to announce the successful completion of our 2014 Year-End Campaign!

Because of you and other alumni, parents, and friends, our 2014 Year End Campaign raised $18,827!

More kids will now be able to experience a week at Pendalouan. These funds are also allowing us to tackle some much needed facility upgrades and make important program enhancements.

Counting our Spring Campership Campaign, Eddie Boersema Education & Activity Center and other project donors, 2014 was one of the best years yet for alumni and friends support! Because of this, we can start 2015 with a strong foundation.

This could not have happened without our generous alumni, parents, and friends of Pendalouan. Thank you again to those who donated, made calls, and spread the word about our campaign. Your support is inspiring.

We continue to accept donations year-round for our Campership Fund, as well as capital projects and programming and facility needs at www.pendalouan.org/donate.

Hail Pendalouan! It’s going to be a great year!
