In Case Your Camper Fell Asleep on the Car Ride Home: Session 2

The campers drive down Russell Road each Sunday, preparing themselves for their week at Pendalouan.  When Friday finally comes, they leave us feeling inspired, and we leave them feeling empowered.
We sure do make a great team!

Here are the highlights of Session 2:

-Frogs and toads galore!  It was the perfect week for a nature hike around Big Blue.
-The ‘Under the Sea’ theme was a hoot!  There was everything from a water carnival to Ursula and her evil eels.
-There were 15 Thunderbirds (those who’ve come to camp for 5 summers), and 1 double Thunderbird!
-The CIT’s said their goodbyes after two weeks of tent living.
-Each cabin created a unique bond, making friendships that they can carry with them for years to come.
-It was perfect paddle boarding conditions!
-Campers browsed the Book Mobile, leisurely reading on the steps of Wildwood Chapel.  One camper even received the ‘Ultimate Reader’ award during dinner on Thursday.
-The four core values (respect, responsibility, honesty and caring) were practiced and put into action, leaving camp better than it was before.

Summer camp will resume on July 5th for Session 3, Arabian Nights!
Thank you all for a fantastic and smiley Session 2, see you all next week!
