It’s Time to Meet More of the Summer 2015 Staff!

We’ve been keeping busy here at Pendalouan with Outdoor Education and our upcoming preview day, this Sunday.  Preparation for summer 2015 is also in full swing, we can’t wait for the campers to join us on the shores of Big Blue Lake!

Until then, meet Kayla, Christie, Dan, Alli and Audrey:

Hey everybody! My name is Kayla and this is my first year working as a counselor for Camp Pendalouan! I’ve spent many years at other YMCA camps as a camper, and I’m so excited to get to spend my very first summer here. I’m originally from Bay City, Michigan but I currently live in Allendale, Michigan where I am a sophomore at Grand Valley State University studying to be a MRI technician. I can’t wait until I get to do fun activities at camp, such as hiking, playing games, and canoeing on Big Blue. I’ll see you all as the summer starts! Hail Pendalouan!

Hi my name is Christie! This summer will be my 8th at Camp Pendalouan and my 2nd as a counselor! I'm most excited to sing songs, eat tin foil dinners and meet many new friends! When I'm not at camp you can find me in Virginia doing anything outdoors. I love to hike, swim and boat! Starting this fall, I'll be studying Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech, but this summer I am super excited to return to Big Blue for all the adventures that await! Hail Pendalouan!

What’s Up Guys! I’m Dan! I’m originally from Hudsonville, MI, but now I go to school at Northern Michigan University, way up in the U.P. I love going on hikes and bike rides.  I’m also a huge nerd, I love watching movies and reading books, but above all I love pizza! I’m super excited to spend my first summer at camp and I can't wait for the great memories and experiences we'll have together.

Hi! My name is Alli and I am SO excited to be coming back to Camp Pendalouan for my second summer on staff! I am finishing my second year studying Elementary Education at Iowa State University. Needless to say, I can't wait to get out of the cornfields and spend another amazing summer on Big Blue Lake. I am so excited to go back for canoeing, campfires, all-camp games, and of course foil dinners (my favorite)! This summer can't seem to come fast enough, and there is nothing I'd rather do than spend it with all of you! See you soon!

Hello everybody! I'm Audrey and I am counting down the days until camp is here. I can't wait to share songs with you, play super fun games, and swim in Big Blue Lake. This will be my 3rd summer on staff and my 6th all together. When I'm not at camp you can find me studying at Miami University or at home playing with my dogs. I'm so happy I get to meet all of you and I hope you're just as excited as I am!
