Need Support? Here They Are!

Time is truly flying by!  It seems like just yesterday we were starting the 5 month countdown until Summer 2015…

With only a few weeks left until session 1 begins, it’s time to reveal a few members of our 2015 Support Staff!

Meet Gretchen, Nora, Lila and Margaret!

A big Pendalouan hello from the shores of mighty Lake Superior! My name is Gretchen, and I am once again going to be spending my summer out on the dock of Big Blue Lake as your resident waterfront director.  I am a senior at Northern Michigan University with a major in Elementary Education, and this coming fall, I will be student teaching in a second grade classroom in Spring Lake. When I am not at camp, you can find me reading, hiking, playing ultimate Frisbee, or hanging out with my friends and family. This will be my 12th summer at camp and my 6th year on staff, and I am so excited to be coming back. As the snow/rain combo falls outside my window, all I can think about are the sunny summer days to come! I cannot wait to splash in the lake, make yummy s’mores, and sing all my favorite camp songs on the steps of the lodge with you all! Summer 2015, here we come!

Hello everyone! My name is Nora and I am so excited to get back to camp for another summer of singing songs, playing awesome games, and making new friends. This will be my eleventh summer at camp, and my fourth on staff. While I'm not at camp I am attending school in Ohio where I am studying psychology and equine assisted therapies. I also am a student worker at my schools barn, and ride on the equestrian team (can you tell i like horses?) This summer is also extra exciting because I will be co directing the Pendalouan barn and the Ropers and Wranglers program with my best friend Lila! Hope to see you there for some good old horsey fun!

HEY THERE PENDALOUAN!!!!!! Lila here, for my eleventh summer on Big Blue! This will be my fifth summer on staff at Pendy, and I'm moving out of the cabins and into the barn as your Co Equestrian Director!!! I'm especially excited for this summer because I'm fulfilling my eleven-year-old dream of running the barn with my oldest friend, Nora, who is looking at me like I'm crazy in that picture right there. It will be a year to remember! I can't wait to spend another summer pulling ponies around by their lead ropes, singing songs so loud that I lose my voice, doing chicken nuggets, staying safe in the zip tree, and (most importantly!) hanging out with campers. So hurry out to Big Blue, and don't forget to bring your overalls!

Hello everyone! My name is Margaret and I will be the health officer for this coming summer! I am from Grandville, Michigan but I go to college in Ohio. This will be my 6th summer at Pendalouan.  I am excited to see everyone this summer on the shores of Big Blue Lake!!
