Many Hands Make Light Work

My oh my, April 2015 has been one heck of a month.  Can you believe it’s going to be May this week??  We're excited about May because there’s National Teacher Day, Cinco De Mayo, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and IT’S THE MONTH BEFORE SUMMER 2015!

The months leading up to summer are always incredibly busy and full of preparation.  There’s so much to get done, but with the help of the Pendalouan Family and our wonderful community we accomplished more than we thought possible!

Here are some people responsible for making Pendalouan shine:

April 17th:  United Way Youth Day of Caring

A day organized by teens, for teens. About 50 high school kids came to camp to help us prepare for the upcoming busy months.  They did a ton of raking, especially at and near Great Bear, Boyden Chapel and the plateau.  They also spread gravel on the trail coming into the chapel.  They worked so hard and accomplished more than we thought possible!  A HUGE thank you to all of you and to the volunteers from Comerica Bank that helped supervise the projects.

April 19th:  Spring Volunteer Day

A small but mighty group joined us for a day of awesome teamwork!  They raked the piles of leaves around the lodge and moved a boatload of wood.  Thank you SO much to Mamie, Kameron, Andrea, Melody, Hannah, Jackie, Margaret and Chris for all of your help!

We're ready for May!
Hail Pendalouan!
