Women's Adventure Weekend Recap!

Happy October!

This past weekend a great group of 24 women gathered on the shores of Big Blue Lake to tackle our high adventure courses, go boating on the lake, and relax among friends - old and new. Women's Adventure Weekend is our fall women-only weekend that provides fun, relaxation, and friendship to whomever signs up!

"Relaxing weekend! So much fun. A break from the kids and meals you don't have to cook yourself! Awesome tradition," said one participant. Another said, "What a carefree weekend of adventure, opportunity and friendship!" One woman said she'd tell her friends to "Come for a chance to experience all of those awesome activities you loved as a kid, or even to experience something new!"

Friday evening was full of fun and introductions as the women settled into their cabins and got to know each other with some group games and make-your-own pizza in Nikana Lodge. Following the late dinner, some women elected to take a Night Hike! Many of the women said that the Night Hike was their favorite part of the weekend. Afterwards, many of the women had small fires in some of the several fire pits around camp.

Saturday was jam-packed with activities! After breakfast, Archery, Slingshots, BB Guns, Tye-Dye and Album Bowl-making were provided. In addition to these target sports and crafts, the zipline and our high ropes course was open to the group.

After lunch, many of the women went on a canoe trip down the White River, while others relaxed by the lake on our Adirondack chairs or with a boat ride. The climbing wall and candle-making were also open to enjoy! A pontoon ride and twilight Sleepy Hollow Hike were two activities that the women partook in after a delicious dinner.

On Sunday morning, there was one last chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery, take a boat ride, try out the target sports ranges and tackle the climbing wall. Then, it was time to head home!

With near-perfect weather and a great group of women, this weekend could not have gone any better. We can't wait to see them all next year and maybe you or someone you know will join them!
