Year-End Campaign!

We are excited to announce the official kick-off to our Year-end Campership Campaign!

Each year, Pendalouan helps over one hundred families send their kids to camp for life-changing experiences. "Camperships" aka financial assistance, is what makes it possible. Our 2010 year-end campaign goal is $3,000 all of which will be designated directly to our Campership fund.

With your donation, no matter how small... a difference is made in the lives of Pendalouan Campers!

Please write a check payable to YMCA Camp Pendalouan and mail it to:
Year-End Campaign
YMCA Camp Pendalouan
1243 E. Fruitvale Rd.
Montague, MI 49437

As an alternative, you can always use your credit card by calling our office directly: 231.894.4538.

We appreciate your dedication to such an awesome place!

Question Of The Day!

Wow! We are shocked at the great response and feedback that "Question of The Day" is getting on our Facebook Fan Page! (More about this in just a moment)

Is it unseasonably warm near you? We have had high temperatures in the 60's this week! November in West Michigan is supposed to be the onset of winter, not the return of Spring! But we aren't complaining...

Summer planning for 2011 is in full swing... we have the plans drawn to put together another amazing team of counselors and staff members to give you the best week of camp ever! We will keep you posted the entire time.

Have you been answering "Question Of The Day?" we sure hope so! The Pendalouan family is an amazing group of people and we have loved reading their responses each day to the question.

Do YOU have a suggestion for an awesome "Question of The Day?" Then you should become the day sponsor. E-mail your question to pendalouan@gmail.com and keep an eye out on the Facebook Fan Page, you may see your name broadcast to hundreds of people as our sponsor!

This weeks Pendy Gear photo is of Kalin & Egan, two sisters who work at camp in the Summer... these two love camp and sent us this backwards photo of them in their Summer 2010 sweatshirts.

Enjoy your week and we look forward to your Question suggestions!

November!

A chill has set in over Big Blue Lake, it feels like (gasp) winter is here! With temperatures in the 20's each morning and a fresh layer of frost greeting us we are bearing down and preparing accordingly!

The leaves has fallen but the fun doesn't stop, Excel Charter Academy from Grand Rapids arrived today to spend the rest of their week exploring camp. High Ropes, Group Challenge, Native American Study, Fur Trade and Gaga will just be a FEW of the highlights from their stay.

We are busy planning *NEW* things for Summer 2011 and working to make sure your favorite things are back and better than ever. We are excited to offer a BRAND NEW Specialty Camp option that is unlike anything Pendalouan has ever had before! Make sure you stay tuned for details.

Today's Pendy Gear photo is of our Associate Executive Director Lori, many of you know and love Lori from working years past or memories as campers, she is a steadfast and crucial part to the Pendalouan Family. This photo of Lori was taken on Estes Park, Colorado when we attended our conference. We are posting it because (gasp) we are expecting snow on Friday!

Enjoy your week!
